Hmmm.....had been having training courses for the past 3 days conducted by Yellow Pages sales dept. Well, actually doing telemarketing for Yellow Pages actually wasnt that...."scary" at all. Our job was to sell the advertising space in Yellow Pages to advertisers and make them advertise their own prodct & services in there but it wasnt cheap at all and yet its still the most affordable advertising medium as compared to others like newspapers,tv commmercials ,radiobroadcast etc. Its a very different job lah. Most of the time we will be dealing wif many professionals in different field of profession.......hmm.......i can learn alot from there but it can be tough too coz we may get outspoken by them also. They hired 10 telemarketers and all of them are so friendly haha. *phew* Oh yah, our overall project manager, an ang mo looks like the "White chicks!" wahhahahah! It was so damn funny when i first saw her on thursday in training room. We were having training but she suddenly walked in and i was the first to laugh! The first image she gave me was....omg....."white chicks" sia! Her face looks like plastic especially when she smile......hahaha! But it was damn paiseh coz everyone was wondering why i am laughing so happily when she walked in Oo. Hmm....guess i over reacted haha.....Just got my temp passs and also being assigned to my workstation *weeeee~!!!* They provide us wif headset, a com (xp edition) and also personal stationaries as well as a drawer to keep our stuffs. Not bad lah.....first time i feel so "pro" when i tried on the headset haha. Supposed to mit daisy at 6pm but i kept her waited for me outside the building for haf an hour! Omg....so sry daisy....my manager kept us behind to issue us our headsets and also tidy up our work station tooo. Next time u be late lah then i wait for u instead haha " ). we went to eat our dinner and tehn after that went to singapore conference hall to watch william performing. Hmm...well....overall the performance was considered average to me leh. Even though i have been supporting cheng san for many years and also been to their concerts many times, but i feel their standard has somehow dropped alot. It wasnt as interesting as that time when Ye Chong instructor was around to conduct. Dunno was it becoz of the songs they playing not? It cant really get my attentions leh except for the first piece they played immediately after the interval. I still prefer last time the soloists played their instrument wif no support at all.....they just solo on the stage. Wooooo......misss that! "All men are the same"..........i strongly object wif this comment. Everyone is unique in their own way. We each have hold different ideology, character and values in life and if all men are the same...then....it will be very unfair to some of us. Read the Darma book just now and i happened to read a section called "Attachment detachment & desire" and wadever it wrote in there are so real. I shall share this wif u ppl.....hope it will enlighten some of u too.... ")What is the difference between being attached to other people and loving them?With "Attachment, we often over estimate other peopl's qualities, thinking that they are better than they actually are. Also, we care about them because they pleases us; they give us presents, praise us, help and encourage us etc.
What we ordinarily call love is usually just attachemnet. With attachment, we do not see people for who they are and theerby develop many expectations of them: they should be like this, they should do this and that etc. Then when they do not live up to what we thought, they were or should be, we are hurt, disllisioned , and blame them.
With genuine love, we care for other people and want them to be happy not because they pleases our ego and desire, but just becozuse they exist! Real LOve does not expect anything from others in return. We acceptfor who they are and still try to help them. But, we are not concerned at all with how we will benefit from the relationship. "Real Love" is not about jealousy and possessive.
Rather, it is impartial and is shared with all beings. *Enlightened?* haha......phew......felt so much better after reading darma book. It simply gives me all the useful advices which no ordinary ppl can give me. Each of us have faults and flaws in us. So wad we can do is try not to hide our flaws. Be ourselves....be the way we originally are and present it naturally in front of other people. If someone has fallen or love you even if u have flaws here and there, it shows that that person is in love with ur character rather then looks and physical. Of coz....some may speak LIES with their eyes"open". To avoid, the only way we can differentiate "truth and lies" is.......increase our knowledge....widen our wisdom. Through wad kind of medium can we achieve it? I guess that will be "experiences"......"experiences" that we had gone through before.....if not then maybe we will have to seek enlightenment through our own religion. " )Suddenly having an urge to express my views here haha......i guess through blogging is my best way to express my real feeling coz i am really lousy in expressing myself in real life....." ). Gotta go teach daisy bro wushu later . Hmmm.....but my joints have hardened! omg....i am getting uncle liao haha.....
